MAC offers a level of quality not found in many knives and has a sharpening angle of 10–15 degrees. The blade is very thin and highly flexible. In our view, this may well be the best fillet knife on the market.

The material is premium Japanese steel, but MAC does not disclose the exact steel composition. The handle is made of wood.

Clean the knife after use.
Wash by hand using the soft side of a dish sponge and a little dishwashing liquid.
Rinse the blade especially thoroughly after contact with salty foods.

Avoid:

Dishwashers.
Leaving the knife in water.
Leaving salt or moisture on the blade for extended periods.

Stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion, but it is not completely rust-proof. Salt and moisture left on the blade can, over time, cause small rust spots or pitting.
