Tsunehisa Damascus is a very beautiful creation from Seki, Japan. The blade is very thin and is made from AUS-10 stainless steel, surrounded by 32 layers of nickel Damascus. The blade has been mirror-polished to best reflect the beautiful pattern. The balance point is neutral, and the bolster is full to rest softly against the index finger. The pakka wood handle has a partial tang to keep the weight down. Additionally, it has small bevels to cup against the natural shape of the hand.

It is a very pleasant knife that we highly recommend.

Wash by hand using the soft side of a dish sponge and a little dishwashing liquid.
Rinse the blade especially thoroughly after contact with salty foods.

Stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion, but it is not completely rust-proof. Salt and moisture left on the blade can, over time, cause small rust spots or pitting.
