This is a truly exciting product. A medium-grit natural stone, aoto, which provides dark and opaque kasumi with good contrasts. However, it will not be completely scratch-free as it is a coarser stone compared to polishing stones. The edge becomes serrated and provides an excellent bite. This is a stone you can use as an intermediate step in your kasumi sharpening if you want to achieve a bright and shiny kasumi. You can also stop at this level and enjoy an opaque kasumi that is quick to restore.
