Ohishi manufactures very fine and well-made chef's knives. The knives have good weight and excellent balance. Furthermore, they are very affordable and delivered razor-sharp.

The blade is made from the very popular and high-performance VG10 steel. Around the core steel are 17 layers of softer steel, creating a beautiful Damascus pattern. The upper part of the blade has been hammer-forged and polished to a semi-glossy finish.

For the handle, mixed pakka wood has been chosen, which provides a beautiful blend of brown and black. The handle is very well balanced and comes with 3 rivets, a bolster, and a full tang.
