Ko-Bunka

HADO Shiosai is a series made from corrosion-resistant SPG2 powder steel, with sides of softer stainless steel. SPG2 provides a thin, sharp edge with good edge retention while remaining relatively easy to maintain.

The name Shiosai roughly means "the sound of the tide". This is reflected in the blade's hammered Tsuchime finish, whose pattern is inspired by waves and splashing water. The blades have a high, flat grind that delivers a smooth cut with very little friction through the ingredient. The spine and heel are rounded and polished so the knife sits comfortably in the hand.

Shiosai combines excellent cutting performance with corrosion-resistant steel and HADO's high standard of finishing and detail. An easy-care series with a distinctive character and superb cutting performance.
