Gestura | Cooking spoon

The immensely popular Gestura spoon has the volume of a tablespoon and is deep enough to hold liquids well. Its tapered tip allows you to pour and brush with precision, while the long handle is ideal for stirring a stew or a pot of beans. It is still easy to work with when you are garnishing a plate. The thin, flat lip makes it easy to scrape out the frying pan or storage containers.

The Gestura spoon's finish is inspired by the worn and distressed steel often found on old second-hand goods. It has been tumbled and deliberately left with an unfinished surface to achieve a matte and uneven look. The model was designed with inspiration from old American and European cutlery.

Each spoon is stamped, etched, and carefully hand-finished in Mr. Okada's workshop in Niigata, Japan.
